Welcome to the Beachcomber Tavern!

Opening in 1938 as Mably’s Cafe before changing the name to Ziegler’s Cafe in 1942, the locals affectionately referred to it as Lucielle’s, after the owner. The establishment evolved into The Beachcomber in 1968 when Ellie Oliver took ownership.

Today, The Beachcomber Tavern proudly upholds its storied legacy as a gathering place for both Strand locals and beach enthusiasts. We invite you to join us in celebrating good company and good times!
